Second try

I know that I don't know much about blogging, very Socratic!

but here is my second foray into the sphere:

1) pick a new subject

2) don't comment on politics (it has lost me losts of dates)

3) talk about politics (I can't help it)

4) thought tracker

and one thing I can talk about is running. I do run, came to it more recently and am proud of myself for winning some of the local races. Now am I that good or is that because all the serious runners go somewhere else? I'd like to believe I am that good! Lets leave it at that.
One more thing to mention is, I have this idea about non native speakers and their right vs left brain use. Is our decision making different in the two languages since we use one half of the brain for one language and the other for the second? Makes me wonder while I am running when the two Sprachen sich mischen. How would I tell the difference and especially how would anyone else tell the difference between my funny German self and the profoud Anglosaxon self. I catch myself telling Dada-jokes to Americans and potty jokes to Germans and I get the strangest stares. And jokes are not the end of it, I have open sandwiches ( you know the ones where the bread is only the base of it and if it is sticky you actually use fork and knife as opposed to your fingers). When I run I use both halfs of my brain and cannot tell you which language I am in, maybe none, I'd like to think so! I had a high school literature teacher who put forth this hypothesis that thought is only possible through language (defined by symbolic meaning) and I have to vehemently disagree. I do think while I run, something is rattling up there. Let;s leave it there, enough fruit for thought and for a good night sleep!

politicking

Debates mesured by average Joe and Jane dialing a knob, what's that for?

Some tougher questions to ask are: who runs this country and did not see the credit crunch coming? I cant believe that our government did not know this was inevitable and that the surprise on that Monday morning was an act. If it was not, they are a bunch of incompetent bags.

Also I would like to see a proposal to exclude all citizens from Non-Swing States from the presidential election. How about propotional representation or a progressive ballot? How about giving those 3/4 of americans that none of the Candidates focuses on be cause they do not live in Virginia, Ohio or Florida a voice?

The selection process has to be seriously rethought, or that is to say the presidential elections are inconsequential. and someone please say: Sarah you don't know what TF you are talking about. It was a pleasant surprise not to hear her speak to the presidential debates today. I am not sure whether I could have handled any more "like, such as" statements from her.
